Personal Growth and Wellbeing Course
What is SWEET?
Sweet is a Pearson course work-based qualification at Level 1 and Level 2.
This course provides students with an opportunity to explore real-life situations and they are able to work on their award at their own pace.
Students are awarded GCSE equivalent grades depending on the number of units that they complete and Launch2Learning encourage all students to complete at least one GCSE equivalent qualification to add to their CV.
Students and teachers at Launch2Learning are overwhelmingly positive about the Sweet course, so much so that we were voted Sweet’s centre of the term in the Summer 2023 – so well done Launch2Learning students.

One of our students says:
“I think that it is the only subject I do at (my AP) that helps me outside of school. There is so much more real things in this and it helps me and my girlfriend and family because I learn stuff that helps them too.
It’s taught me how to budget and I joined a gym because I was getting lessons on keeping healthy. Now that I’m going to the gym, I’m not sick as much. I know about my immune system now.
These lessons have helped me plan for my future and I’m joining the army.
I think that these lessons help teachers understand students’ feelings and all feelings come from a reason, so if something bad is going on at home, a teacher can pick up on it because we talk about so much in these lessons. I don’t do anything like this at schools.
Although reading and writing is not my things, I enjoy doing the tasks in SWEET because it’s more real and it’s not so long, it is short little snappy activities.”
