future-planning at launch2learning
Careerpilot is Launch2Learning’s online Pathways programme, working alongside the Pathways booklets previously completed with our students. This exciting programme is designed for our year 7 and above students and includes tasks and video lessons on a wealth of topics including the world of work; year 9 options, post 16 and 18 options; alongside interactive quizzes, information pages and details on a substantial number of subjects relating to further education and employment.
Launch2Learning staff support our students 1:1 through Careerpilot sessions enabling students to interactively explore, gain insight into, and plan their future study options, further education choices, and the world of work. These sessions are delivered monthly as part of a usual timetabled session and each student is assigned a dedicated Careerpilot mentor for continuity. The programme provides valuable information, guidance, and tools to build an individualised report that can be amended and added to as students’ progress, allowing them to prepare for their futures with the support of their tutors at L2L. Affording our students the time to discover and understand all of their options will ensure they have the best start.
At Launch2 Learning we recognise that all our students are unique; Careerpilot offers a bespoke and individualised profile record for each student built upon their own responses and input that can be used to identify career options, complete applications or create a CV, and will provide an overview that can be shared with the student's supporters.
